22C534 is a new plum introduction from B Q Genetics, California. Its early cropping, round fruit shape, attractive appearance and deep red flesh were positive features seen this season. The fruit flavour was a little disappointing, but not knowing when the fruit ripens, this could be more a reflection of poor harvest management rather than a poorly flavoured variety. Further assessment is required.
